Float Ohm SUP is founded on the belief that if you direct enough love, energy, and passion into something the universe will guide you towards manifestation.
This life is a journey, and every unfolding process, a fluid evolving cycle where if we let go, begin to trust and follow our heart, we will find the dharma or purpose that we seek.
So what does this have to do with sup yoga, paddling, or retreats? Everything! Yoga represents a union, a connection to oneness, a space filled with nothing but love. That is what we've discovered on the paddle board. My personal yoga practice has brought me a deeper connection to my true self, nature, and all of those around me, but the moment I discovered paddle board yoga my practice changed.
I have never experienced the feeling of being so connected to the humming rhythms of nature while feeling so tranquil and still. Your feet feel the ripples of the water as the board glides across a reflection of the blue sky and puffy clouds. The calming dip and swoosh of the paddle as your inner strength propels you swiftly forward. The cooling sensation of dripping water droplets, quenching sun drenched feet as the paddle passes across the board. The sensation of the entire body working as one igniting the Manipura chakra as the breath grows in sync with your paddle stroke.
You see, the yoga begins before class has even started. The moment you choose to paddle, the moment you take a breath of breeze as the river carries you along, you have begun yoga. It is as if time stops and nothing else matters. Breath and movement, the mind chatter dissolves as the wind gently blows. Then you float, like a lotus flower, connected to a lily pad connected to the universe. Peace. Presence.
